Caught during a swarm. While training Nala in preparation for her first gym battle, Ashley was caught out in the Pikachu swarm-slash-thunderstorm, which was not a very fun ordeal at all. During the chaos, she managed to (accidentally honestly) catch two Pikachu.
The female is Mrs. Frisby, a swift and intelligent girl, who took a tumble in the chaos and met the male Pikachu. As he decided to be her knight, she's indulged him, a patient type who'd like to interact with the other Pokémon...but she'd rather not make waves. Ashley seems a little fond, thankfully, despite their tumultuous first meeting; the compliment of a name bears good favor and good tidings to her future.
